My wife & I are both from Michigan. We grew up in Detroit, begining in the mid 1950s (Seven-Mile/Kentfield & Evergreen/Curtis).
However, after her 5-1/2 year Michigan State fling, she a did ONE YEAR internship (for Audiology) in Toledo, Ohio. Please note our "location" on sidebar...
Her folks & brother still live there, so we make trips up to Troy now and then. All my family now lives in Florida.

nice collection there, what kind of bmw is that?
Those are both M Roadsters; black car is 1999 (stock 240 hp, now supercharged with 350 hp) and the gray one is 2001 (stock 315 hp). Both cars are lowered/aftermarket springs & double adjustable Koni shocks.
I generally have two or more (>2) similar cars in my possession at any given time to install the trunkfloor/differential mount reinforcement that I've developed.

I get a few Coupe versions too:

Sometimes my wife sees too many Coupes (at our old condo)

Both of these Coupes have intercoolers...

I'm from northern MI. Nice Bimmers.
I'm into older vehicles. I have a good collection going but only one BMW. A 1974 2002 Tii.
Just looked at the dates on this site. This is a very inactive site isn't it.

Nice cars...
Yeah it gets really quite in the winter, due to the fact we don't want to get our cars too dirty/salty and the roads are too dangerous for some particular high end cars. But once it warms up a bit, you'll be seeing a bit more action.
Great looking 2002. I had a black 75 as a daily driver years ago and really loved it. Also live in Spring Lake, Mi for 4 years, so I double qualify for this thread.

2006 Time Magazine's "Man Of The Year"
I qualify, we have a summer home in Grand Haven. I got lucky and married into that one! Also spent many a good time up at a friends cottage in Northport. I love northern MI. What a beautiful place.

Nice.
You guys have homes in Grand Haven & summer in Northport.
I use to live in Northport & work in Traverse but the winter drive down the west arm sucked. It was drifted close most of the winter so I moved a few mile south to Suttons bay but it still sucked so I ended up in Traverse City where I was trying to avoid in the first place.
Anywhere north of Muskegon, actually north of Hart is nice in Michigan.
Indy430,
That second pic above was taken in Glen Haven. Right where your talking about up in Northport.

Yep, know all the places you speak of. My best friend has the place in Northport Point. What a beautiful place! Ever had the cinnamon twist from Barb's Bakery? I have dreams about those all winter! We would go in there in the morning and buy all that she had left...... I lived on cinnamon twist and beer for a few summers!
Here is a few pics of NPP. First one is a view from the plane flying in... They have a little airport right there you can fly into if you fly private, and the second is the cottage.

Didn't see this topic before. But I'm on the outskirts of the east side. Although, I've lived and been to most of the state one way or another. For me "up north" is Lake Charlevoix. Truly beautiful

Wow that second picture is just gorgeous, Isaac. Great colors! I have your 1920x1200 picture set rotating as my desktop background, along with a few Spyker C8 pics in the same resolution. You sure have a knack for great pictures!
And by the way a serious thank you for uploading those pictures in that resolution.. Not an easy one to find images suitable and unmolested for a background

Do you mean 1600x1067? I rarely upload anything in 1920x1200... just a few for custom requests here and there.

Thanks

There was link to a set of 60 or so pictures on FChat in that resolution. Has Enzos, MC12 and tons of other great cars

[Thanks, Indy
Ah, I think those are Richard's photos then, not mine. He's done what I'd love to do, and maybe love to even be able to do
He is extremely talented with lighting; and the setup. His end results speak volumes

For me, it is Charlevoix proper/Round Lake. Can't wait to get back up there!

Yes, unfortunately cement plants are not a part of what I look for in a beautiful vista from the Lake Michigan beach. But nice picture of it!
That coast guard vessel is gone now, too - before I had a chance to try to get some interesting pictures of it.

Haha, yeah. That is exactly what I thought... but... there was nothing else to photograph except a very empty lake that day. There weren't any pretty women in the boat that day.
And the photo of the 'guard vessel was literally weeks before it was sold and shipped to some 3rd world country in late 2005 I believe.
