I'm working on something with member Indy430 who is the business development director for Classic Auto Insurance (http://www.classicins.com/Default.aspx) that may get members 10% off of their rates which are already lower than other companies since they specialize in sports / classic cars. This would be for all members, not just subscribed, and for new or old cars. Please reply if you'd be possibly interested in the discount, or even if you'd just like to learn more.

OK... I will chime in here. Glad to hear that there is interest in the car club program. Let me lay a few things out. We DO NOT insure the daily drivers of the world. What we insure are classic, antique, collectible, and exotic cars. We insure the car to a agreed value which is different than your daily driver policy. We also run on mileage plans. Most cars fall within the 1000 , 3000, or 5000 mile per year plans that we offer. Some newer cars have a max of 3000 a year. Now most cars that fit in our program never see 1000 miles a year let alone 5000. Just depends on how much you want to drive it. Now I know that not all of you fit into this type of car. I know that some of you have your toy as your daily driver, and unfortunately we cannot insure that type of car. To qualify for the program you MUST BE 26 YEARS OR OLDER, and have a daily driver car. Now for a little company background. We have about 20,000 clients nationwide. The only states we do not write in are Hawaii, Alaska, and Massachusetts. We have over 1,000 agents that represent our product nationwide as well. We were started in 1992 and are still owned and operated by the founding person. Headquarters is on the North side of Indianapolis Indiana. We like to pride ourselves on customer service and attention to detail. Our employees are VERY knowledgeable on the type of cars we insure and are happy to help anytime. Anyone that is interested in a quote just shoot me an email or call.

New rates are rolling out around the country. I have had a few people contact me about quotes. This is the time of year to get insurance all squared away while the cars are hibernating. Call or email me for a quote.

Cars are starting to come out of their winter hibernation. Anyone with a collectible or exotic car should contact me for a quote on collector insurance. We only write full coverage, agreed value policies. We are typically 30 - 50% cheaper than a main line carrier (State Farm, Allstate, etc), and you get an agreed value policy instead of an ACV (actual cash value) policy. To get these ultra low premiums we do have some underwriting guidelines we must adhere to. Here are some of the qualifications for our program:

1) Owner must be 26 years of age or older with a good driving record
2) Car being insured may not be a daily use auto
3) Car must be kept in lockable enclosed storage when not in use (no carports, inflatable car bubbles, etc..)

Anyone interested in a quote please contact me via email, phone or PM. Midwest SCC members get a 10% discount. Please tell me this at time of contact.

I want to post a comparison for everyone. I just ran a quote for a gentleman in Indiana. He is currently with Hagerty, but wont be much longer. Below is the breakdown. To be fair, this is an exact apples to apples quote. I quoted off his Hagerty policy.

1998 Ferrari 355 Spider
Agreed Value: $75,000
$100K/$300K BI/PD
$100K/$300K UM/UIM
$1000 Med Pay
3,000 miles per year usage
$1000 deductible

Classic Auto price -- $1,124 per year
Hagerty price -- $1,481 per year

We were roughly 25% cheaper! People are always looking to save money where they can, but rarely even consider insurance as a possible avenue. Most people believe Hagerty is the only game in town when it comes to collector car insurance. Truth is, they just spend the most money on advertising and therefore have to make that money back in their premiums.
