I never understood why those are so popular. I really dont know, are the really fast or something??
Im not a Porsche guy at all. I dont even consider myself a Porsche owner, Im a CGT owner. The only other Porsche I like is the GT3 RS
I do know that car was illegal until Bill Gates spent what it would take to have an exemption made.....wish he liked Zondas too

how much are those worth anyways?

400-600. Get one that has already been converted for US use. Canepa's 959's make over 600 hp, and have modern turbos instead of a sequential dated turbo system. They have been fully federalized with bumper, and door adjustments too.

Why do people love it?
It was the CGT of it's time. A technological wonder. A 997 Turbo is more advanced, and faster than original 959's, but isn't as special. Not the heritage. A good "cheap" supercar to get would be XJ220's

meh
Ild rather have a GT3 RS
or F40......

any knowledge about applying these federizing techniques to a Zonda??

EPA stuff shouldnt be hard, but since they wouldnt crash one for DOT I dont know what you could do other than maybe strengthen the bumpers and add the early 90s auto seat belts. Maybe add an air bag??

then after it passed DOT and EPA tear all the shit out and have fun

LOL

If you do get a xj2200 be sure you work up an answer to, "Is that a kit car?"

Because I'm thinking you'll hear it no less than 50 times a day.
