I really miss the variety of cars I used to see in Tokyo...there wasn't a day I didn't see some sort of "ooh, i've never seen that car in person" day.

most taken with a 4megapixel autofocusing (yes, optical autofocus) cell phone. probably took better pics than some cameras out now in the States.

youd be surprised what kind of cars there are in Japan in prestine condition. Too bad I'm not too educated in hot rods and muscle cars but I used to see some muscle cars and hot rods in top notch condition.

what amazed me the most was how many european cars there are. if you like cars, Japan's definitly a place to live if you have the financial resources since virutally ANY car can be imported legally.

the SLR was really nice but not like OMG. it did everything perfectly, did make cool sounds, very comfortable, but it did everything too nicely that it just lacked that excitement factor IMO.

Come to think of it I knew of a guy who was buying muscle cars and shipping them to Japan and making money doing it... I am pretty sure he had orders in hand and would look for specific cars for customers....

I had an Iranian room mate at IU in Bloomington in the 70's and he said the Shaw had a AC Cobra he would drive arround at night when nobody was arround..
