V8 Engine Model

So I got this see through V8 (Pantera) engine model for my birthday. Pretty neat, but it came with a little crank that you insert at the end to turn it slowly to watch the moving parts.

I threw out the crank and put a motor on the motor. The kids love it!

It's in progress but the best is yet to come! Stay tuned

I've always wanted one of these. Would be fun to change it up .

Finally completed the engine. Variable speed with flashing spark plugs.

Sweet VFD and lights! I can tell you're an engineer. Not quite as fast as the guys restoring a Mustang in 11 weeks, but cool still.



Oh, and we can see there is no oil in the pan. Don't blow it up.

Well, there were many late nights when trying to restore a Mustang in 11 weeks! Many late nights. Especially when trying to push through customer work during that same time!

I like this V8 model. Very cool.

Way to go! Unfortunately the model sat on a shelf 95% complete for 8 months waiting for me to do the last 5%.

And Bill, though there is no oil in the pan, it is fully lubricated. (Dan, no comments please)
