Trip this past weekend to Louisville.

Didn't have the camera when we went to Lynn's Paradise Cafe. There was a Sivler Exige sitting out front. Also saw a Rolls Royce on the road.

Now, so this post isn't worthless...onto the pics.

CL65 AMG

SL63 AMG

Maserati GranTursimo

Special one for Webby

And for the highlight...one very well loved car with sparkling chrome and paint. This pic does not do the condition of this car justice. who'd have thought someone would love one of these this much.

Thats how we roll...

I have to admit, I was looking at a lot of the cars in the beginning of this thread thinking "whats the big deal?" but after seeing some of the cars you spotted in Louisville it occurred to me that we really have a lot of high end cars around here. I live in the nicer side of town so seeing AMGs, 911 Turbos, Bentleys, Maseratis, Rolls, etc is pretty common place. I really and truly don't even notice M3s, Corvettes, Vipers, etc any more. I think they are still nice cars (aside from the Vettes, I've always hated those) but you just see soooo many of them that after a while you just don't care any more. It's like seeing Mercedes in Lexington, theres just such a high concentration that they all blend together.

Come down around Derby and you'll see some real fun stuff. This past year, a few days before Derby I spotted a Carrera GT, Mercedes SLR, a couple of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, etc. All within a few hours of each other and not to mention the hordes of "standard" luxury/sports cars.

Now the silver Exige, that thing is hot. Unfortunately though I've caught wind that the owner doesn't really seem to know the heritage of the car or anything, he's just the "that thing sure is fast" type. Still glad he's enjoying it though!

edit:
Did the Maserati driver have a bunch of tattoos? I've heard that a local pizza restaurant owner picked up another one that was black. This is one of his other vehicles...

Local pizza guy? Would that be Papa John?

The Maserati had Indy plates and we saw him on the Yankee side of the river headed north and got off at Seymour.

TrixZee's brother lives in Louisville. Their sis came up from FL and we had a family reunion thing happening. Lynn's makes some great food. I hear b-fast is even better. We have yet to do Derby, but its on the "To Do List".

Have you been to Proof yet?

Not Papa John Schnatter, Philly of Spinellis Pizza fame. John Schnatter's cars are much, much, much more impressive than a Maserati Coupe.

Lynn's breakfast is quite frankly awesome. Every now and then I'll swing by for dinner and end up with cornmeal pancakes with white chocolate chips & a vanilla shake.

I like that Maser, but it's the Coupe Cambiocorsa and not the GranTurismo.
I saw one out on 116th about a month ago. Lovely sound.

Good point, I didn't notice the wrong name. The one you saw, probably the one the other guys have mentioned and have said they'd tell about the site but never did

Doltmo & DC on Hwy 37, headed north through Nobelsville with a planned stop with VetteCop, then on to go have some fun.

Doltmo....good to see you have your Gallardo back home.

It's great to have the little yeller fella back in the stable. Here's a shot of its back end while it was in the O.R. It's amazing how low the engine sits in that car. It looks like the crankshaft is lower than the half-shafts that drive the rear wheels.

Spotted Doltmo...again! Thursday.

You were driving south on Spring Mill (?) crossing over 465 on the bridge.

I was headed east on 465, just coming up to the bridge. I was bringing the Diablo back from being serviced.

Lambos everywhere. LOL!

And if you weren't impressed by those maybe this'll do it for you.

As much as it made my day to see this car today, I hope the poor guy never brings it here again. As I was walking towards it I saw a woman actually laying across the hood as her husband took a picture. When I got closer I also noticed that it was keyed along the entire left side of the car. Who knows what else people did after I left. Some people..

Then again it's not like he takes good care of the car anyway:

And he could've picked a better spot to park:

Regardless, it's a gorgeous car! And tied for the best car I've seen on campus (the other was also a black Continental GT)

Wasn't sure where else to put it, so figured here.

Besides, who would expect a 308 to be at a private Z function?
