You have the option to disable smilies and your signature in each post now. Also, you can go to your settings if you want to disable your signature by default.
Smilies & sig disabled in this post for testing :D :) :( :o 8)

I don't understand. If someone is going to disable smilies in their post, why would they put them in?

webby has too much free time and has run out of things to do in an effort to stall on giving me my mod powers

For example if you have a list

It turns the 8th into a smiley. So you can now disable that

Maybe.... I'm not a big fan of distracting smilies. Post the ones you want here and I might add some.
