I checked today, Euro is at 1.27 to the dollar and British pound is 1.47

On ferrarichat you arent even supposed to talk about going over the speed limit because it is "encouraging street racing and other illegal activities."

Let me jump off topic here for a minute and do a little flag waving. I get a lot of business related to auto mfg. That being said I'm a little tilted in their direction. I realize that US cars may not be perfect but I think it's good for us to lean toward them when looking at cars. Believe me the other countries in the world support their countryman when making purchase but here we don't. When I see an American company trying to do the right thing by developing what the people want (ie ZR1) why won't people support it rather than yearning for something else. I'm sure if GM built a car that wouldn't pass tests to be used in this country, they could also build a supercar. I have lost several large orders for German companies to German companies that cost more than me just because the Germans wanted to keep the money in their country. Not hating just saying. Back on topic.

the big thing the ZR1 has against it besides, being American thus "not exotic" crap Europeans will pull, is that it looks almost just like a C6/Z06. 99% of people have no clue its anything special except that "funny window thingy" on the hood. And the interior isnt up to par with other exotics. Sadly that would be a very easy thing for them to change, but for some reason Chevy just wont. Since they wont they minas well strip it all out and go "Challenge Stradale" like with sparce interior and sell it as being so hard core they took the unnessicary things out.
Now that said, if we dont start doing better here AND buying American products we will only hurt ourselves. Not so muich because of globalization or trade deffisate stuff, but because small US companies need our support to stay open. Trickle down ecomonics wont work when small compainies start going under.

just like the C6,when you send a TEAM them for TWO WEEKS and tweak the car all day long to get the best time its nothing more than BS
btw, the track was repaved recently, thus ALL cars will be getting faster times than in the past.
now that said, the ZR1 will beat ALOT of cars times on that list. Its deffently not THAT fast, but I wouldntbe surprised to see others run withing 15-25 seconds of that time

the interior like I said is so so, but VERY artistic and detailed
however, I want the car because its univerally known as the greatest car in the world 555, 605, 650 hp (depending on model) and only 2600/2700 lbs (depending on model) and ALL CARBON FIBER everything!!!
short of a McLaren, you cant get any better!!!
even the first one the C12 which was like 495 hp I think and slightly slower than the Diablo 6.0. it was overwelemingly the choice of all the mags that tested them when both cars had just came out because of the true sports car it was being so VERY VERY light and an utter pleasure to drive. Then the S, S 7.3, F, and F Club Sport models came out with MORE POWER and better everything and suddenly it was at the very top class of cars in the world. Even holds the Rings best stock time (not including highly moded cars like the GTRs fake times), and the time was beaten recently in another Zonda buy a magizine tester. Unlike all other manufactures which get an impossible time with their own test drivers than nobody can ever seem to match or come close too, the Zonda time set by the factory wasnt the best time for a Zonda!!!
