Old thread bump to announce that our 2014 Race Party at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be July 25. Details similar to those thruought this thread from last year. New class formats have also been developed as the sportscar leagues have united under one banner.

Im spending more on the Diablo for clutch work etc this month than my yearly mortgage runs, and i could not care less.
It aint no thang, i knew about all these expences before i bought the car.

I look at it this way, it still cheaper than any kid, any wife, all the vacations, clothes, jewerly etc it take to keep one happy etc.

A few K a year or several k every several years is just a minor blip on the radar.
Shit a truck and trailer solves any service issues, just trailed mine to ohio. No biggie, if not a flatbed.

If taking care of a car is hard for you guys, you really need some real challenges and adversity in your lives.

Bang for the buck was great when the z06 was 55k....now for 100k you can get far cooler, rarer, more special exotic cars for that money....and much nicer.

Who would really take a new vette over say a used Gallardo? Or Diablo? Or 512tr? I can think of alot cooler cars for the money.

When new vette prices approach the truly special and amzing cars in price, that i think is the true no brainer......then again im sure the monthly payment crowd like the rates on a new vette and warrenty vs rate on 10= year old car and maintaince cost :/
