I have used a ton of Brasso in the past. I now prefer Wenol. Use that with a buffing wheel and you'll be on your way to a mirror finish in no time.

it's looking like everyone is making big changes to their cars. IRL is starting the process on a new design also. I bet the next few years are going to be transitional to the next generation of race cars.

I still can't get over the DeltaWing concept. What were they smoking? Too much NitroMethane sniffing at IRP/ORP maybe?

I'd love to do the Lemons & ChumpCar. Not so sure I could sacrifice a Z for it though.

Would you try to put together a complete car, or take this as the start to a stripper track car?

Good luck either way!

To be realistic right now, I'm not able to do either. In a perfect world, I would make a streetable track car. As good as the hood and fenders are, I would prefer CF/FG for those since they are soooo much lighter and actually available.

As is, there are a ton of parts that will be going up on ebay and assorted Z sites to generate some $$ for the current Z project.

There are some misc BMW parts in the collection too. I need to sort the whole mess and figure out what is worth selling, keeping and/or tossing.

I received an odd call a couple of days ago. A Z friend packed up and moved to MN. He was letting me know he left behind a bunch of Z parts nd they were mine if I went to pick them up.

Thanks to help from Larry and his trailer, I am now the part owner of a 240Z. Why part owner? Partial list:

Hood, 4 doors, rear hatch with glass, 3 fenders, 2 sets of headlight buckets with lights, rear spoiler, seats, assorted engine parts, rear quater windows, extra door windows, 2 dashes with guages, Front strut assemblies + extras, steering rack with steering column, assorted interior parts, some 280Z engine parts, and a ton of misc parts that need to be sorted and put up on ebay.

All the body panels are in excellent condition.

All I need now is a decent body with a solid rear end. I already have a second turbo motor. Seriously close to having a complete 240Z now. Of course its in pieces, but what the heck...

BTW...it might be a year or two for an update on this project. Need to get the current one finished. Second BTW, there were some parts I can use to complete the current project. The ZXT will be running when Spring arrives.

These are probably the only 4 guys who can make a thread about car luggage into comedic relief...

Thank you. Remember, I'll be here all week in the Garden Room. Please tell your friends to come and down for the show.

this has to be the gayest post Ive seen from a manon a car forum ever

the sowing part should be easy, its the lil draw string, tie thing, and materials that may be hard

If that's how you feel about it, I withdraw the offer.

BTW, here are a few shots of some bike panniers I made. These are backpacks/saddlebags for bikes that hang on the rear rack of the bike and made to fill with camping gear. I made the patterns and did all the work. Zippers, straps, bungy, hooks, velcro, etc.

Yea, I guess a drawstring on a little bag might be too difficult. LOL!
