I agree. It shows what happens when you use a committee to (re)design a car. I can imagine the marching orders they got from the Audi execs: make it looks like the LP in the front and fix the damn back end!. So it gets the "Darth Vader" look in the front - the easy part of the job,. But only having the R8 to copy, it gets the Princess Leia look from the back - no balance or unified theme in the styling. I wonder what Luc Donckerwolke thinks of their bastardization of his design? The LP640 was a good face lift, the LP560-4 is one of those face lifts gone bad . Not quite Michael Jackson, but headed in that direction.
And what's with the "-4" designation? OK, so you want to remind people that it's 4-wheel drive. How about LP-560-4-2-6-10-1-225000 - to remind people that its 4-wheel drive, 2 doors, 6 speeds, 10 cylinders, 1 steering wheel, and it costs $225000 (or whatever) to buy.
