If you need tires mounted to your rims but are afraid some high school kid's going to scratch your wheels, I recommend the Tire Barn on Allisonville Rd, just south of 116th Street in Fishers (NE Indianapolis). Ask for CJ (the manager) or Dustin (Ass't Manager). They will personally do the work. Mounted, balanced, and filled with N2 for $20 a wheel.

So far they've done 6 tires for the Lambo and not a single scratch.

Dan,

Have you considered adoption? Someone like Jay Leno, or Tim Durham??

At least they don't appear as my avatar!

Yes, there were 99 coupes. IMHO, these were the best looking of all the Diablos. The have a similar instrument cluster and dash as the 6.0 with the exposed headlights. They also have the "shark gill" treatment on the air inlets in front of the rear wheels that were only found on the roadsters.

Looks like it was fun! I was excited to see the verde ithaca Gallardo towards the front of the line, I was beginning to think I was the only person with bad taste

I've been to MAG twice (Lotus service) but I haven't made it over to the Lamborghini dealer yet, is it near Dublin? I'd love to pop over for a bit the next time we take the car up for service.
They're just up the road (north/west on 33) from MAG - probably the next exit. They're right off the freeway, so you'll see the building right before the exit.

Next is a professionally applied epoxy floor. Steve H. (silver F355 spider) owns a company that does this for commercial and industrial buildings. He has graciously agreed to do a small job like this. Then some storage cabinets go in and possibly a lift.

EDIT: I've posted new pictures of the finished job, above.

Who is the trusting soul in the pass seat?
Bill Wade, my instructor. He's from Louisville and does a lot of these driver schools.

He helped me get a lot more confidence in the car - especially in keeping in the throttle longer down the main straight and braking later and harder before going into turn one. By the end of the day Sunday I finally had enough balls to stay in the throttle as I crest the little hill before turn one (right foot ALL the way to the floor at 130+ MPH) then get on the brakes HARD (ABS engaging) in the last 100 feet before the turn. I'm amazed at what this car can do and I'm sure I'm only driving it a 60-70% of what it's capable of. But that's OK with me. There's a big difference in driving the car at 99% vs. 101% of its capabilities.

dangit I would have came!!!

whats involved with getting the car tech inspected??

with all the track dates I may not know till the day before if I can go, so If I need to be tech inspected before each run that could suck

Like Chappy said, some of the schools will let you self-inspect the car. You fill out a form, check all the boxes, and sign it. The Hoosier BMW Club sponsors a free tech inspection at an automotive service garage about a month before the event. Some schools (like the Hoosier BMW) require club membership, others do not.

The events are not free - typically $200 to $400 per event. So the tech inspection is not the real problem here. You need to send in your money to reserve a spot before the roster fills, so you really have to pick a day and commit a month or so in advance (and then pray the weather cooperates).
