The weather Saturday absolutely sucked. It changed from a light sprinkle in the morning to a steady rain later in the afternoon. The last two run groups were black-flagged when the rain changed to sleet.

We run with the side windows down for safety reasons, so this lets in lots of water. The way the Gallardo roof is profiled, all the water from the windshield comes up over the roof and drains into the open window right behind the driver's arm.

Sunday was absolutely wonderful - this made up for Saturday. And it helped dry out the car.

Saturday, April 14, 2007. Hoosier BMW Car Club's annual "Rites of Spring" - or winter as it would seem....

Decided that the little yeller feller needed some new digs.

Day 0:
First time the garage has been this clean since the place was built.

Day 1:
Old floor jackhammered.

Day 2:
Rubble removed.

Day 3:
Doltmo (aka unlicensed plumber) installs floor drains

Day 4:
Floor level and ready for concrete

And, finally, a new garage floor

After several weeks for the concrete to cure, Ray Batten starts the process of finishing the floor. First, two days of surface grinding and seam filling.

Then finally the first of two coats of 100% solids epoxy and color chips

My custom mix of color chips - two shades of gray, plus white and black.

And, finally the floor is done. Add some cabinets and pictures, and the cars have a new home....

Am I the only one having a hard time playing this last video? All I get is the sound and a error message telling me I don't have the right video codec.

I figured you might have changed it for me. I saw it was GMT-4 before modifying it this morning, and to get it to display the correct time I had to put it back to GMT-4, which meant it must have been GMT+10 when I was having the 14 hour time shift problem.

GMT+10 - where is that? Siberia???

OK, it's set now at GMT-4 (which doesn't seem correct for EDT) and it looks like the time displayed on the posts is OK.

What's up with the date and time stamping on the forum posts. Seems like it's about 14 hours ahead of local time? Or is it just me? I know I'm a little slow sometimes.

The first of what should be an annual gathering of Italian exotics in Columbus Ohio. Put on by Lamborghini Ohio, Evans Automotive, and Midwestern Automotive Group. Proceeds benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation (which provides the use of the Wendy's corporate office grounds for the event).

Well worth the trip!
