It's great to have the little yeller fella back in the stable. Here's a shot of its back end while it was in the O.R. It's amazing how low the engine sits in that car. It looks like the crankshaft is lower than the half-shafts that drive the rear wheels.

Gee, SR 135 looks a bit wider than I remember.

Yup. Late apex. He would have been better off to gone straight off the track on the left rather than trying to save it. Then he over corrects, at which point Isaac Newton took control and the rest is history. Given the large number of skid marks on the pavement, he's not the first to fall victim to this spot on the track.

But on the brighter side, he needed to take the car in for service anyways. The new Audi voice activated Dynamic Stability Control (aka "save your ass" ) system wasn't working properly. Notice that it failed to respond to the command "Please don't hit the wall!" despite repeated attempts.

its old and crap and likely the hose was dried out from not being driven

just be glad its a hose
Dan, the hose that popped on the TR looked awfully similar to the one Brian harvested off an old 308 (or was it a 355?) to transplant into your Diablo. How long until it has an aneurysm?

Spotted, Sunday morning about 10am on the east side of Indy heading south on I-465, then westbound on I-70 - black and silver Bugatti Veyron closely followed by a black RR Phantom.

Our friend Tim Durham, heading to the race in style!

Yes, they do look good on the wall. I have the hi-res files if you want them. They look pretty good blown up to 30x22.

There's a clue on the last picture of the car. If you look closely, you'll see it.

I saw a yellow/black Smart car heading southbound on I-65 just north of Columbus. That's one brave dude to take one of those out on a four-lane and play with the semi's.

PS, saw a silver SLR in Castleton yesterday.

Dan,

My advice is to run for President of your HOA. Trust me, I've been there/done that - no one wants the job. The first poor bloke with a pulse that wants the job gets it.

Once you're in control of the HOA, you can make the rules (or at least not enforce the ones that already exist).
