The guy was out at Putnam yesterday. Does not remember the crash. He drove arround the track in a pickup trying to remeber what happened....
There are tracks off the track whee he went inot the woods. No skid marks..
Maybe he passed out???? glad he is OK though....scary pictures of the car..
The car was upside down and they had to cut his HANS device to get him out of the car..

He's suffered a concusion and was unconsious after the accident. He has since woken up and has been walking around talking and joking.

So its looking good. Thank god.

Casey, no 427s in 65, but you could get a 425 hp 396 big block too.

Yes you know your vettes, I had a 425 hp 396 65 vette, It was the first year for a big block and 4 wheel disk brakes.

66 was the first year for the 427 cars. There were several ratings for HP. The 425 hp car was one 4 barrel. However in 67 there was a 435 HP option that was 3 2 barrel carbs. Both were solid lifter cars with 7000 rpm redlins. That is a ton of revs for a big block. For their time they were blindingly fast.

When I sold mine I thought there would never be another car that would beat it. The C6Z06 would totally blow away a 67 435 hp car today. Plus it turns and it stops. At the same time the Bose is playing Led Zepplin and Onstar tells me if I need a oil change and lets me use the phone. The diffrence in tecnology is staggering.......

I did not get it at first since I dont think I have met you,,,, some day if it all works out a ride is no problem, I had a 5 point harness racing seat put on the passenger side when we pulled out the cool suit box and the fire bottle..

Dan; I seriouly don't know exactly how fast I was going the car does not have a speedo
I told the guy who built and raced the car I was pullin 6,000 in 5th gear (it has a 6th) and he said that was 160-165... so all I can tell you is that with turn 1 comming up it was scary fast,,, but fun....

The car is 590 hp at the crank and weighs 2800 lbs. Rember this is a retired World Cup car not a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz06 on slicks...

hope to have it ready by Tuesday, we found some stuff worn out in shifter and mount. Also need to get new Hoosier mounted. Will be going by to check on veryting today..
