Hi guys and gals. Last week I purchased one of the baddest Lotus Exige's around. I need to make room in the garage for her. If you're truely interested in the Elise let me know. I'm willing to make someone a great deal on her.
Let me know when you guys want to shoot pics. I'll be glad to participate. Maybe this time we won't have to hijack a pick up like we did for the group shot in Madison last year.
As much as I know I'd like the 240, I still want the targa top. This time next year my Elise will almost be a 240. The Lotus supercharger kit is due out and by then I'll need new brakes. Lotus Sport makes a great big brake kit. I believe it's the same as the 240 brakes. That and few other tricks and I should have around 255 - 265 hp at around 1800 lbs. Not Lambo sexy, but will scare heck out of most folks.
Dan, I wondered why Tony was so pale when you guys join us for lunch. Glad you had a good ride. I only wish I would have had the time to drive the 240. I will the next time I'm up there. Have a good time on Saturday.
I'd be more than happy to arrange test drives for you at the Lotus dealer in Chicago. You'll be surprised. As far as keeping up with the CS, unless you're an extremely talented driver, the Lotus is much easier to drive faster than the CS. And once again, the repair bills will be much lower. Heck, you could buy a good used Lotus Exige S and the new Lotus Cup Car for the track and be money ahead. You already have a truck and trailer. The Cup will rock your world. Let me know if you want to make the trip to Chicago. I can meet you there next Tuesday morning. They are also the Lambo dealer in Chicago. You might be able to work a deal.
Why don't you save yourself a ton of money and come over to the darkside. There are several Lotus Exige combinations out there that will run circles around those Prancing Horses and are more fun to drive. Not to mention the fun you'll have dusting off the competition at track days. That's my two cents.
