Hey Andrew, the picture of the tulips is very cool. I am actually a little surprised that you had that much control over the depth of field with a point and shoot. It came out great!

DSLRs are so essential for indoor events. You have so many options with hotshoe flashes, fast lenses and high ISO that you just can't get with a point and shoot. I am actually taking mine to a rehearsal dinner for pictures next weekend. It should be interesting because shooting pictures of people is not something I usually do.

Thanks! Yeah, my camera is pretty close to DSLR quality when it's outside and sunny

I have an insane amount of respect for them. The firefighters using oxygen tanks have to stop every 2 miles for a new tank IIRC.

Thanks. I spotted 2 Ferraris there. One was a 3x8 sitting in traffic on the highway. I spotted this while lost and trying to get on the highway to sit in the same traffic. The other was a 360 Spider which flew by me on the highway. The top was down and the guy looked like he was having fun.

The pictures turned out great because I had some great vantage points. The skyline picture was taken from the 15th floor of the Chicago Sun Times building at a wedding reception. The Chicago Tribune Building (the other picture taken at night) was at taken from the 26th floor of an adjacent condo building. The tough one was the flower picture though, rear flash sync made that picture work and it was taken the same place as the skyline picture.
