for the Diablo
Im thinking about it
right now its only AWD when its needed, the car send up to 15% to the front when its nessicary.
Its nice, but hardly alotta help
droping the front diff and drive shafts would save alotta weight and allow all the power to get to the rears and much easier. As well as faster reving, better feal, better clutch wear, and the ability to do burnouts

I can always put it back if I dont like it

opinions?

are you sure about this? The only car I know that can do this is a Subaru (but by only taking out the front half shafts).

I'd worry about balance and wear and tear on other components that were not designed to do so...

why do you want to do this? and whats the advantage of doing this? just to do burn outs?

I say go for it. I've always preferred RWD as my platform. I've heard the Lambo's can be quite a bit of a handful at the limit without the AWD, though. Be careful on the B-roads.

I guess you have to be a member to view.

If there's no ill effects at all - absolutely zero - then why not. If there is even the possibility of something going wrong or doing any damage, then I say no way.

I think you should consult with the fine gentlemen at f-chat for their professional mechanical insight that you admire so much....just see how much crap they'll give you

we can't see the link about making it rwd, but as vettecop said, make sure there arent any draw backs. i can't even imagine how much a drivetrain fix will be for a diablo... and what about ESP?

DO IT!

RWD 6.0 would be perfect...

Even more perfect with a stupid loud exhaust
