Had my 30th HS reunion this weekend, so I drove the Vette I drove in school, AND found the actual plate I had on it when I graduated. That brough back many memories of good times.

And yes, I am really getting old...

Don't feel too old...I had my 40th last Saturday and drove the new vette. Ended up doing a burnout across the parking lot as I was leaving. Ah, the good old days. It's amazing what that car will do with a little alcohol.

you guys are old

just imagine how much better it would be with your Countach

I skipped my 5th and have no desire to even entertain the idea of my 10th. Besides who would belive it was really my Lambo, or what ever car Ill have in a couple of years. If I did go Id just take the Van, or show up Bobby Bouchie style on my mower

Sorry for the semi hijack. I think it's cool you still have the car you drove in High School. And it's cool you had a Vette in high school.

Thanks. It started as a semi-running rolling basket that needed a lot of work, but by senior year won the school car show. I was pres of the auto club and founded the student show, and I think it is still going each year. We should crash it next spring. We used to invite special non student cars from the area for display. The shop teacher had a friend with a twin turbo Pantera that came and was quite a sight.

I agree
were you a pimp in HS, or were those the few years when nobody really cared about Vettes at first?

In 50 years I hope to still have my first truck as well

I was the guy with a Hot Rod magazine rolled up and stuck in my back pocket, hardly a pimp.
Greasy fingernails pretty much full time, and my parts runner/daily driver was a 67 Camaro that I painted myself, or Mom's Caprice. One girlfriend's Dad saw me driving the Camaro and grounded her from riding with me.

Many of the car guys from my class were there, it was pretty fun and we talked about getting together more often.
