Wanted something fun yet practical for my DD, so after being on the fence about Impalas, Jag XF and similar cars, I finally opted for the new Cadillac ATS turbo. 31 MPG on the highway, mid 14 sec 1/4 mile, sport suspension with massive Brembo brakes, and all the Caddy luxury and warranty.

Watch Andy drive his.

Thanks. I've driven black work cars forever. Since 1988 I think! Almost Amish.

Mrs. SMS talked me in to the red, and I'm really liking it. If I ever get around to lowering it a bit, this will look awesome.

Good looking car, and you have to love boost. Saw a pink one today in Terre Haute . Your red one is much better.

They have an optional headlight that auto dims/brights, turns with the steering wheel, and I don't know what all else. That system probably costs more to fix than an engine rebuild so I stayed away from it!

Technology is amazing. Probably a good idea staying away from the advanced system.

I remember reading an article a while back that on BMW's the headlight assembly is the 3rd most expensive item to replace. Only behind the engine a d transmission.

I've read the ATS is a great driver. Is it pretty flat around the corners?

Really is. Enjoying my commute on 135. This is the BMW fighter from GM I guess.

They just announced an ATS-V for 2016. This is very cool. Coupe or Sedan. Manual trans is available in both the normal ATS and the new V

GM now taking orders for the new ATS-V. 455 hp manual transmission sport sedan aimed right at the BMW M series.
