No Muria or Countach ever sold was as fast as Bobby Wallace made one go for the car mags.... Some degree of this has been going on since the Roman dealers were selling charriots.

I also call BS on the guy that he can't drive a Ferrari street car without express permission from "the factory". How self important does he think he is as a writer? Some of those guys write about a cars oversteer understeer weight transfer 9/10th bla bla bla when all the did was hustle up an entrance ramp in traffic. If all the testing is monitored by lap tops it's because they can show the telemetry of some would be racer writer who was a total hack drive when he broadcasts world wide what a pig the car was. Even mag tests in the 60's had data wheels clamped to the rear bumper for real stats, not some seat of the pants analysis that could slander a new model.

Lets hear the other side of the story.

And if you think that's bad, read a boat magazine. The best water tests happen to be for the models with the biggest ads in the mag. Interesting...

kinda like the us car mags loooooooove of the vette eh? or hell anything domestic that buys ad space

and I own a "CGT" NOT a porsche

Porsche Carrera GT owners dont drive their cars and keep them as museum peices, CGT owners own a badass car and drive them...then cry when clutch replacement comes every 10k miles

So since you own a porsche and a lambo that makes you a douche too! You said it right there, 75% and 50%.... odds are stacked against you.

For a guy that admittedly hates Ferrari, you sure do talk alot about them. Its always screw Ferrari this and screw Ferrari owners that with you. We all know how you feel, so you can go ahead and keep your mouth shut and dont talk about them if you dont like them. Who cares if they lie, cheat, and BS performance numbers for cars, you will never buy one, so does it matter? It is sad if this article is true, but, how does Ferrari claiming the world about a new car actually harm you? All that matters for Ferrari owners at the end of the day is how THEY feel when they drive their cars. I dont care about all this BS, I still like Ferrari's even if they are full of poop about their performance numbers.

ferrari owners dont drive their cars silly
and that happy fealing they get is the ora of micheal schumacher and all the racing heritage pulsing through their vaines......as they wash and wax it

95+% of ferrari owners are total tossers
75+% of porsche owners are
and 50% and growing of lambo owners are

I just hate douchebags, whether it be a ferrari owner or some 22 year old grad with his popped collar in a m3 his mommy bought him that thinks hes the shit

Very interesting article. Pretty pathetic if it's all true on Ferrari's part.

its no secret the street cars underperform to ferraris test ringers or the two cars they always bring. Funny how you rarely see a ferrari, such as an enzo of fxx, on the nring eh?
They overhype, then shut down owners from proving it. Some CS owners awhile back were talking of suing them for lying about there top speed, on lie in a long list of lies.

I have zero doubt others do it too, but know chevy isnt too far behind ferrari.

I wonder what cars like gt3s, gt2s, gallardo, superleggera, lp560-4, etc would do on fiorano....
In fact I wonder how much slower street cars are over test cars, and more importantly how much ferrari scews and uses the lap times to make a car seem faster than it is. "Oh the new "so and so" is faster than an F40, or Enzo, so buy our car cause its so great"

phuck ferrari to hell

Dan, Benny Caiola's collection is being auctioned off car by car. The Zonda might pop up soon. I know that his MC12 and others have been auctioned off recently in Arizona.
