Lol. This is the only MG we've ever bought that did not come with an extra parts car in boxes!

Fantastic Bill!!!!!!! Putting a LS2 in it so she can keep up with your Ferrari?

Not ruling anything out. Did you know that MG did offer a V8 version? They used a Rover V8 which had a front mounted distributor to clear the cowl. Note, lightweight LS motors have no distributor.

But for now, this is an econo runner. Insurance is 52 buck per year at Hagerty, gas mileage is awesome.

no kidding!
the 64MGB I saw yesterday was driven by two gentlemen...cruising around the speed limit on the far right lane

DEFINATELY not the same car. She bought this one from (you ready for this) two lesbians. And no, she did not know them.

Her 4th B. We found this one like this:

Her: honey the dryer is not heating up.

Me: put it on the list.

Her: I'm still drying clothes on a line, please don't forget about the dryer my loving, wonderful husband.

Me: ok, I checked it out, the element and high stat are bad. A new dryer is not in the budget, but a guy in Columbus has the parts for 37 dollars. Wanna go with me?

Her: ok. (One hour later). LOOK AT THE EARLY MG FOR SALE!!

pimpin!!

will she be coming on runs with us now too??

Yep. Have some things to do before it can run with this bunch, but the parts list we have should help to that goal.

Bill,
If you were stuck on a desert island, and could only have three of those cars, what would you choose and why?

I anticipate the response because the 308 and 59vette would be must haves for me.

Countach. It was one of 19 1979 S1 Lowbody cars and had only 900 miles. Lowest known in the world. Perfect original everything.
59 Vette. Can fix eveything on it with a 9/16 wrench and a screwdriver. Also I've been working on it since I was 14 years old and drove it to the prom, so it's kinda like family.
Crew Cab Dually, to live in. Or maybe the diesel Chevette, since it might run on fermented coconut oil and I could make my own fuel. Or an MGB if there were deserted island girls because they would think it was cute.

I also forgot a vehicle from my list. So I fit in here, I too can claim a van! 88 Chevy Astro. Bought at the Columbus Adesa Auto Auction, drove to Morgantown and gave it to my Father-in Law. So for about 30 miles, I was rollin in style.

That is part of Chevrolet's RPO, Regular Production Option, coding system. Same as LXX, etc...

Back in 1967, Z28 was the code for the option that included a special high perf package for example. In cases where the marketing guys thought the option was pretty special, they might badge the car with it, like the LT1 engine option in the 70's made it to a hood decal.

If you Google Chevrolet info, or RPO you'll likely fin a list of hundreds of the RPO codes.
