Wow! Are those asking prices or actually sold prices?

I've always had a thing for the LP400, very clean and original. I'm more for the less bulky look. Same with Panteras. I've never been crazy about the GT5 with all the flares and wings.

BTW, Dallara was also the engineer who designed the Pantera's suspension.

There has been one documented sale over 750K of a very nice and original LP400.

Thanks for the Pantera info, I did not know that until now.

Great car!

I like that first generation LP400, no wings, flares, etc... Pure.

My favorite however is still the 78-79 LP400S. Dallara (Current Indy car designer) worked for Lamborghini and developed new suspension geometry for the 400 to take advantage of the all new Pirelli P7 supercar tire. So flares were added to cover the new rubber, the body and chassis are dimentionally lower, but still had the same lightweight, raw configuration of the 400, including that wicked 4 liter V12.

The LP400S evolved into a bulkier model as she aged, so the 1980 cars are now know as the second generation 400S, whiule the early S cars are now called S1, or "Low Body".

So here is my favorite car of all time, the 79 LP400s Low Body. And yes Webby, the prices shot thru the roof in the past couple of years, after I sold mine of course!
I possibly could have made 1/2 million on one car if my timing was better.

Saw a motor home northbound on 65 yesterday pulling a 24' enclosed car trailer with Lamborghini SV script and lettering all over it. Would liked to have seen inside!

Nice shot Webby of that white 59 thrown in there, so above is a 63 I saw last week at lunch time in Indy. That one gave me Corvette fever so we took ours out today for a couple hundred miles.

Red/tan Ferrari Testarossa on I-65 northbound at Southport today. Single high mirror and centerlock wheels says early model. I love seeing cars like that in normal traffic, breaks up the commute!
