the guy moving in in a few weeks has a Passat, I dont think its awd though

and its only a matter of time with clones, or damn near ones. Looks at Porsche, their entire line ups all look the same Well atleast the Cayanne and Pan America are very much alike. Porshe/VW/Audi and FIAT will be like the big 3 here with everything basicly the same

VWAG, Fiat Group like the Big2.5 here? Are you kidding me? Have you seen their product line up? Then again, the Alfa Romeo 159 does use a GM engine but with Alfa designed pistons and connecting rod IIRC. But besides, that , I don't see the resemblance. VWAG has a distinctive product line up with a specific target market even when the platforms are shared. Where as I can't tell the different between a Yukon, Yukon Denali, Denali, Denali XL. Or Aspen vs Durango? How about Milan/Fusion/MKV? Same design, different taillight, trim, badge. Not the case with VWAG.

The B5/5.5 Passat was one of the best sedans ever made IMO no matter what the trim level. It was nothing extravagant, nothing fast or innovative; but it did what a sedan should do brilliantly. The only sedan that surpasses the B5/5.5 platform is the W124...something about that platform....and the W201 is also a fantastic base also.

If anything this means a GM type of car were a Gallardo and R8 are the same and a VW and Porsche cloan with follow soon. And they stop spending big money on "unessicary toys" like Veyrons and CGTs

and I think the new GT2 is AWD

VWAG doing badge engineering? They do cross platforms with their B and D platform but it's not like slapping on a different badge like GM products. Phaeton/A8/Continental shares the same platform but they all are distinctive enough to make it a different product. The Gallardo and R8 may share SOME parts but not a "cloan" (it's clone, btw).

Sucks they stopped investing in R&D...I love underappreciated halo cars...like the VW W8 4motion Passat.

Audi WILL NEVER EVER EVER allow such high HP and heavy cars to be 2wd EVER AGAIN!!!

Audi happens to be owned by VW.
VW happens to be owned by Porsche.
Porsche happens to make a car called a 911 GT2 which is 530hp RR.

? There was no HDR. NO color / lighting / contrast editing period. The originals I posted are exactly as they came out of my camera (except scaled down)

no kidding??? it was that saturated??

I thought for sure this was photomatrixed a bit

good job at capturing the colors!!!!!!

the JGTC would always be far behind. The JGTC 500 NSX were TT V8s and turned the other way. The JGTC 300s were I believe V6s, but thats all I know about them

2000 = Takata Dome Honda won, with NA
2004 = turbo...they sucked
2006 = back to NA, Takata Dome 3rd in series
2007 = ARTA got pole position 4 races in a row.
source

ironically, it was only when Honda ditched the forced induction setup that they started winning.

Keep the NSX NA. I would go with individual throttle bodies. The NSX isn't meant for, top speed high power...why go that route? Get a Supra if you want that.

Nooo, Yuki's pictures will be way better than mine

lol, just bring your camera. I'm sure there's a thing or two we all could learn from each other.

It would take someone 10 seconds to sort that out by the tail number. I'll be at the hangar next Thurs and see how we could get some cars to the plane side of the fence. If we can do that, coordinating the weather with a day the plane is not in use should be manageable. Then we just need our 3 staff photographers, Webby, Palmer and Yuki.

I'm in.
