For pure vettee people taillights are supposed to be round

The tail of this car looks disturbingly like a Camaro

We had a new Vette come through work. Still had the dealer plate on. Totaled. Guy put it into a ditch.

If people keep crashing New Corvettes maybe we will have to have Corvette days Instead of a Viper days,,,,,

You might look around for a set of the glass mirrored tops and makes her feel a little roomier on the inside and use a little bit more headroom to

She's been sitting in the old Studebaker building (covered) for about 9 years. I haven't put her on the lift yet to see what all needs to be done. There is evidence of mice in the interior....hopefully the wiring is all in-tact....but the paint seems to be in really good shape, and the interior from what I've seen so far looks decent, just needs to be cleaned....so hopefully it will be minimal work to put her back on the road. Right now I know it will be all new belts and hoses, tires (and 8-slot factory aluminum rims...or factory rally's...haven't decided yet, will go with whatever the RPO code says it came with originally), etc.

I had a white 1981 It was really a pretty fun car,,,,,,,

Will the vinyl withstand engine bay heat?

I know its more expensive, but you know you'll only be fully happy when it is repainted. Its hibernation time for the Pantera, so it would be a good time to get it done right.

BTW, do they drop the engine/tranny out the bottom, or lift it out the top? Going to have to disassemble the whole drive train.

I agree with Mark, that is such a nice clean Pantera I don't think you'll be perfectly happy until the car is exactly the way you had before you had the splashes....

.......

if it wasnt for the unions the big three would be fine, because over the last 6 years as people bought less, and FAR less from them they could have siply STOPPED MAKING SO MANY FUCKING CARS!!!! but because of the unions they had to, or put them in the job bank paying them 90-95% of their salary to sit and pick their ass all day. Supply and DEMAND! not endless supply with NO DEMAND.

thier business model is broken, that is why bailing them out is just a banaid and long term will not work without major consesions, from the unions.

However managment has been wrong too, they have had since the Arab Oil Embargo in the 70s to figure out that we wanted quality fuel efficint cars. The Japanese figured it out and would have never gotten the foothold they did without the lines at the gas pump that Detroit ignored.

I am old enough to remeber not being able to buy gas on Sundays.during the embargo,,, think about that for a minute....

Bad News for the local NSX guy's..... Honda's Fukui in crisis mode, cuts outlookTOKYO -- Honda President Takeo Fukui shifted into crisis mode today, slashing sales and profit forecasts, delaying plant openings, cutting executive pay and axing the NSX sports car program to rein in costs. Fukui now expects operating profit to tumble 81.1 percent to ¥180.0 billion ($2 billion) in the fiscal year ending March 31. The revision came less than two months after an earlier downgrade in which Honda Motor Co. said operating profit would fall 67.3 percent. The U.S. meltdown is largely to blame. Honda now sees North American sales dropping 14.1 percent to 1.59 million units in the fiscal year. It had predicted an 8.4 percent drop. "We had no choice but to take various actions in a very short time," Fukui said at a year-end press conference.

End of quote.

It's sad to see an enthusiast targeted program get the axe. Cutting development programs might prove to be shortsighted. We shall see.

The corvette profduction line is also halted, for a month I think. There have been a few other 1 week stopages. Hope it does not get the axe also. It represents only 1/2 of 1 % of sales but it is profitable.. And the Lambo owning is is priceless..

I'm confused. The list says:
0.385 280ZX 1978
0.30 300ZX 1983

Here's the thing.
The 280Z is 1975 - 1978
The 280ZX is 1979 - 1983
The 300ZX is 1984 - 1989
