No offense, but who in their right mind would turn you loose with their Ford GT?

We have one, however, it has 270 miles since purchase - so letting you drive it is unlikely. If you want to find out more about the GT, go to www.fordgtforum.com, great forum for you to do your research. A few supporting dealers who have some good deals out there right now. A Tungsten Grey 06 with less than 50 miles for $169k right now. Best investment we have made. These cars will go back up in value when the market comes back. Ford will never produce a supercar like this ever again.

thanks!! Ill read up on it
fellow Lambo owners that have or have had FGTs have loved them and have great things to say about em, especially with some turbos or a bigger SC pulley and it seems there are good cars out there at 150k and even less!! Its got the same if not more performance of ferraris and Lambos at half the cost and probualy a hell of a lot more reliable

know of any good white w/ blue stripes or blue w/ white stripes out there for sale?

I just need to find one to drive now lol
thats where the sale will be made or not
its all in how it make me feel and how much fun it is tor drive

I drove a few of them in the past... they are as "easy to drive as a Focus" in the sense that the clutch effort is not difficult, and the steering is bordering on telepathic (unlike the foci). Both belonged to FoMoCo.

Stock, the only thing that will beat it stock for stock are the CGT, and Enzo from that time frame. A pully/ tune / exhaust (PTE) mod will run you $3000 or so; and will bring power from 530ish - 610 or even as much as 640 RWHP I've seen. with 640, you'll be capable of pulling the mid 190's in the standing 1 mile.... and 135-138 in the 1/4; with a few owners capable of high 10's with their extreme talent and "soft" launches.

10g's, and you'd be looking at a whipple SC replacement, and over 700 RWHP with ease. ... up the ante to 20-30g for a TT setup and conservatively run 850 RWHP; while sacrificing low end torque. The rush from 3500-6500 is a hell of an adrenalin rush, and the noise is intoxicating as well.

whatever car you look at, have the GT Guys preform a PPI. If they say it's good, its worth getting even sight unseen.

Shelbyelite.com and BJmotors are regular carriers of high quality FGT's.

I'd shy away from salvage title cars. You'll have a hard time reselling when you are done with it; otherwise, the car will hold it's value; or increase. There are increasing numbers of people with multi- FGT's in their garages; on top of the dwindling numbers of non salvage/ totalled cars out there.

It's not impossible to find a car that already has PTE/ whipple etc. ... such modifications don't detract from the value of the car.

The GT Forum also has every bit of information on any and every nuance that the GT has happened since her inception.

I think a new SC and 700hp sounds great

wasnt the MSRP on the cars like 150k?? and they were goinf for 225-250kish when they first came out??
based on MSRP they are holding their values great, but if you paid 225+ and put a few thousand miles on one, they are at half of what you paid now

Some people paid a lot; many were only paying 10-20 over MSRP in general. 10k + miles start dropping into the 140's to low 150's depending on color rarity. Cars for 120-130 are generally salvage titles. I know of one 30k+ miles that sold for 190...

Feels nothing like a Diablo, or even a lp640.

I'm sure one of the Indy guys would be happy to take you for a spin. Not really so sure that many would give you the keys... but you can find out in person when that time comes.

Motor-cars International has a White with blue stripes model. 905 miles. 4 options. Plastic on seats. $165,500 I think.
In Springfield, Missouri.

I do like these car, even though I'm not a Ford guy. At least they don't work for Obama right now.

I think Im gonna try and work out a deal with Roy to buy it wholesale and the orange 6 speed SL too and Ill trade the Diablo and NSX ro him plus some cash if I like the FGT.

and Ive NEVER been mr raw raw american cars and patriotism, but the fact that socialist got Chrysler and GM maks me love Ford a shit ton more now and Ill NEVER buy a new Dodge truck or GM car. My next new truck will be Ford or Toyota now, so a lil patriatic love for the FGT from me now

the sales manager was a dick to me and said that I now couldnt drive the FGT unless we had a deal on the Diablo. He wanted my diablo AND 45k!!!!
he said my Diablo was only worth 110k!!

Ive turned down 165k and 175k offeres on it while others are selling for more recently. Hell last month Lambo Chicago offered me 130k!!

and after 5 months he said he wouldnt help me out with a loaner at all.

fuck him

atleast John in service was nice enough to set up a time on Sunday the 14th I could come up there to check out my car and test drive the FGT and SL 6 speed. If I get it I hope he gets the comission

Hey Dan, at least Lambo Ohio (RIP) offered me a PT cruiser as a loaner. But the down side was that I had to wait 6 months, not just 5.

I cant belive I get better serivce at the Dodge dealer or AMMCO, hell AMMCO picked me up and dropped me off at my home in the morn and afternoon when they had my shitty Ram 1500 in for work!! Palmer Dodge gave me a free ticket for an oil change cause I had to wait an extra 30 mins when they messed up my wheel balancing. I buy a f'ing 200k car and am trying to buy another and I get dicked around with this shit. If I wanted to take it up the ass by the dealerI would have just bought a ferrari
