Sold the 05 ZQ8 Colorado and got a 08 Z71 Colorado

About 3 weeks ago I decided it was time for a change, I had a 2005 ZQ8 Sport for the last few years, it was a good truck and I had no problems with it, it was a 5 cylinder 5 speed. The day I traded it in it had just over 23K and looked like it was new.

The main reason for the trade was I wanted 4 wheel drive, the ZQ8 was not worth a crap in the snow, even with 600 LBS of sandbags in the back still sucked.

I have had red cars for the last 10 or so years and it was a time for a change, the new color is Inferno Orange Metallic. Also it is a 5cl But this time I got an auto.

What's up with Chevy selling trucks with 5 cylinders? Geeze, prices today, you think they could at least throw in 6, if not 8 for a full sized truck.

Not a full size, it is like the size of a Dakota, no as small as like an old S-10 but not quite a full size...

Only gets about 17MPG on a good day in town and maybe 21 on highway..

So its an inline 5???

The in-line 5 is almost the same motor that GM offers in some vehicles but they are all in-line 6 and they chop off one cylinder. I am not a Huge fan of the I5 But I do like my truck, in the next year or so they will offer a V8 in this size truck, they were suppose to this year but backed out at the last sec. I dont need a V8 at all, this truck moves pretty good with whats its got and I dont need it to tow anything or do any other "real" truck stuff it cuts through 6 inches of snow nicely..
That is the most reason I needed 4x4, when I am on call and need to get to work I have to get there 1 inch of snow or 1 foot..

As one inline guy to another, I bow to my Chevy brethren.
