Have you checked the clutch fluid level? How about the slave cylinder? If it rusted through or lost the fluid through a hose break that would prevent the car from going into gear and would be a relatively easy fix.

Casey,

How did it go? Did you find anyone that can help you?

I had a bit of a temper tantrum online earlier that nobody would help you. But Mark says this isn't necessarily an easy fix so I deleted my post. He thinks you might need to take it to a garage.

there are people out there trying to help....but it's a clutch job. Like you and Mark said, not something you can just go about and start fixing it like a headlight or something. Air tools are probably preferred, and probably need a lift of some sort to drop the transmission. ...which I think Casey has neither.

Not to be a dick guys, but I'm fucking broke. I have no choice but to do this on my own.

I have found people to give me help, but none that have knowledge or tools.

Dan, you can't just take a half disassembled car to the dealer and have them do it. Also, I didn't buy a "OEM" clutch, I bought a stock replacement; because they didn't order it, they can't put it on.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place right now, and I'm sick of driving the 8mpg truck. I'm |-| that close to walking to work and saying fuck it.

A change of luck would be super nice right about now. I am absolutely tired of transmission problems.

I'm sure you have a few DIYs but just in case...found a few JDM ones w/ pics (for a GC though).

I realize that you've offered and Mark told him he would if he had the tools and knowledge. And I forget that the 5 Muskateers are talking offline and have probably discussed these issues. Why'd he buy a Suby? Aren't they suppose to be a PITA anyway?

Maybe Dan is right and everyone can help on Sunday. At least get you to the point where you know what you can do and what needs to be taken somewhere else. You'll just have to give up a couple party nights, dude

All I need at this point is air tools and extra hands. I'm almost positive I have everything else covered.

Why do you need air tools?

Hand tools and a factory service manual should get you there. A few small speciality hand tools can make a HUGE difference with a clutch install.

The last clutch I installed was when I was 17 and dropped that stupid tranny on my hand. Ugh. That was why it was the last, I now pay others to do that job.
