That is sad.. but it probably could have been avoided if he drove it more often

I saw that.. I really want to know what happened too! I don't believe a tire would blow out at 40 mph.

Well, some good news. It's headed back to England for repairs.
The McLaren Customer Care program that was set up for F1 customers is capable of rebuilding it - I am sure of that. Most of the items on the F1 were bespoke parts created by McLaren or by their F1 suppliers. The car was designed so that each component would be replaceable. BMW Motorsports have the ability to make a new engine block if necessary. . .

they changed the value and insured amount in this article...

unless it has under 1k miles on it, no way its worth more than 2million, if that.
they seem to be around 1.5, more if its brand new like one that went for like 3 millions a few months back
maybe someones playing games here?
