Have you watched the Cannonball Run intro videos on YT?
Great sounds, and sights.

Peter has had that for sale for a while. Probably hoping someone with a stolen one will buy it for the vin. Oops, did I say that?

It would cost the price of two good ones to put that back together unless you put a Chevy engine in it and basically make a kit car out of it. That said, it would make a cool stripped down roll cage track car wouldn't it

There needs to be a chalk line around those parts in that last picture.

Off topic, but since it's just Dan's thread I suppose that's OK.

Yesterday was supposed to be the last dry day here for awhile and no roads have been salted, so I decided to drive the 308 to church, to the office and generally just around for a good workout. Turned out to be 16 degrees when I went out, but decided to try it anyway. It took a few extra pumps to start it with the choke not hooked up and after a short time of feathering the throttle it soon was running well on it's own. After the fluid all got flowing properly we set out for a wonderful full day of motoring. The best thing was how the motor felt when it was gluping down deep breaths of 30 degree air. It felt like 2 extra cylinders today! Having the tire compound always in the back of my mind kept me from getting too agressive in the twisties, but oh how magnificant was the sound and power running up and down thru the shifter gate. It tends to get more attention on the road and at gas stations in December than August also. I do miss summer already, but if I could bottle this air for use next year I would be a happy camper. Advice: If you have a chance to sneak out for a winter blast, go for it. Excellent therapy for sure!

details?

That is some guy in Italy, notice it turned over just as he pulled up to the factory track.
Good planning right there.

That last exhaust has enough pipe in it to make a system for a front engine car.
