First taken just south of Story Inn.
Second taken during staging at Brown County Dragway. OK, not in motion yet, but I really like the picture and I won the race.

I hit 135 in the Diablo
and its speedo is 10%

Im sure a better driver could get 140, maybe 145
but 165
ahhaha
a bike maybe

My mom had a car and pegged the speedo at 165 with me driving, she hit 135 with me in the passenger seat. Dan...my mom is in her 60's.

Have to admit, after rolling a car and literally walking away, she slowed down.

Yesterday was a good spotting day when TrixZee and I went exploring backroads of Brown County while mapping out new routes. Boy-O-Boy did we find a great road in the middle of nowhere...fresh asphalt surrounded and shaded by forest canopy through a state forest...speed limit...20! Also found some roads perfect for a WRX, Jeep or any other cart that has clearance and lack of concern for front-end alignment...not so good for the Z.

Onto the spottings:
- Either a Triumph TR3 or Austin Healey Sprite - Red, seen from 465 in a parking lot on the eastside. Saw it at the last minute and didn't get a good look at the grill, just the bug eye lights.
- Willy's Overland in Franklin. Quizno's sign on the side, parked at an Arby's.
- C6 Vettes, too numerous to count. Did see one of the orangey colored Pace Cars in Franklin.
- 300ZX (Z31) with wing in Franklin.
- Porsche - Silver - no clue which model, heading east on Hwy 44, west of Franklin. Obviously having fun by the RPM sound, we passed each other, we were headed west toward Hwy 135, it was on a blind corner and over fast.
- LEO's (city, county & state) everwhere and seriously earning their paychecks.

I would not recommend buying that Pantera. It's been in some kind of accident and the chassis is very warped. The hood and roof line are at different angles, and the door frame is bent, leaving a 1" gap between the window and frame. I've been told that Ray intends to fix it, but it has a very sorted history. Supposedly it was shipped back from Hawaii and was owned by some millionaire that was busted for tax evasion, etc etc..

My $0.02

now that just about breaks my heart to hear.

Nope. It was mentioned earlier that a stock GT-R should be compared to a stock Vette. I'm just pointing out that it would be a more fair comparison if it was a Z06 vs. GT-R instead.

Vette - 400HP - $45 - $50K
GT-R - 480/507HP - $71K
Z06 - 505HP - $75K

That's it. As you can see, the Z06 and GT-R are very similar in price, power, and performance, while a stock (base) vette is significantly less in all categories.

Toss in the 2010 370Z at 350HP - $35-37k. Still have money left for mods to get it up higher than the Vette for still less money.
