I was hot, tired and in bad need of a shower and food. Sorry for the "misspeeling"

Here are the pics as promised.

The Bob Sharp 240Z Racer was an absolute highlight for me! Serious bit of racing history. Guy was super nice, but I failed to get his name. He personally knows the Indy guy with the BRE 240Z Racer #3. Now that would be very cool to see these two on the track together.

The Alfa was incredible. I just love me some Alfa. He came by the Z Show to invite everyone to join the Alfa group to some track days at Blackhawk Farms and Road America. www.caroc.com. I missed his name too, another nice guy, but we should look for him joining up on this site to represent the Chicago region.

OK...another first for me to see in real life. Not too many out there and the craftsmanship was spot on for this conversion. I included it for those that can appreciate all of the hard work that went into this one.

Last night running the Street Legal Drags at ORP:

SL 63 AMG (not 100% positive, it was a V8 Kompressor)

BMW M6 coupe

Yellow Porsche running 12's

7-8 Z's having way too much fun, including a 300ZXTT running 11.5's.
We were that last down the track. They had to make us leave.

Man, I need to get to ORP and not lock my keys in my trunk this time.

Mark, what kind of times did you get?

This was my first 1/4 mile experience.

My 3 best runs:
60' 2.295 2.304 2.260
1/4 14.677 14.898 14.943
MPH 94.36 92.89 89.97

Serious problem with getting the street tires to hook-up. Several launches looked more like white smoke burnout than a launch. Also scratching into 2nd. I tried to start feathering the clutch more than just dumping it.

When new, the car was rated at 180HP at the crank, I need to dyno to verify, but should be putting out 235-250RWHP. I have the boost tuned to come on more softly for better grip on exiting turns. That may have hurt me some, but not as much as my inexperience. Was hoping for 14.4-14.5 which isn't going to happen until I figure this stuff out.

If I could launch I'd be running low 14's right now as well. With what I'm in the process of doing I would run mid 13's.

What were you expecting, 18's? It just looks old and slow.

Another 280ZXT in the club is putting down 13's with a similiar set-up to what I have. He's running 14psi and his POV plugged and I'm running a safer 11.5psi. with a POV set to release at 12psi. The EBC I'm running will let me two settings for boost. I think I'm going to set one more aggressively for the strip and the other for road where I run boost for longer periods of time. Not like I ever use the Low boost setting anyways.

We are digressing from the purpose of this thread and need to stick this drag stuff into its own thread. Webby, can you help with that?

I saw more 11's than 12's. Wastegate issues only hitting 1.1 bar in the top of 4th. GAY!!!! I'm going to to go big with this car soon. I want 130+ trap speeds!!

Oh yeah Razman, what kind of bike is that?

We know James from the Indy Z Car Club. Good guy as is his wife. Love having them around.

With most of us running 14's, we wouldn't let his 11's car play in our reindeer games due to his squashing our fragile egos. Something you did to one guy in a 300ZXT (Z31) on his first pull of the night. All he saw were your tail lights off in the distance.

James was the last one down the track for the night. They paired him with the Mullet guy in the rusty silver Monte Carlo. The guy that would take forever to do a burnout. James beat him with an 11.5.

As I'm sitting here on traffic on 31 north by Carmel St. Vincent, I've seen a first gen red M3 and a dark grey Lotus Elise. A few minutes ago I saw a green Cobra replicar as I was getting off 465.
