he sent a vague email back wanting me to pay for PPI to find out all the info myself, I sent a nasty one back saying if hes not gonna answer my basic questions he either doesnt want to sell the car or is clearly hiding something with all he vaugness and if he wont answer them he can stick it up his ass. Kevin should be talking with him today....should, so we shall see how it goes

Off topic, but since it's just Dan's thread I suppose that's OK.

You have a Yellow Lambo, Silver Porsche, now you need a Red Ferrari. Proportions will be right.

We'll work on the rest of you shopping list after you add the f-car to your stable. Oh yea, you willl also need the Ferrari jeans, tennis shoes, socks, undies, etc, but that's all understood. (As if I can really speak with all the Datsun stuff I have. LOL)

I personally am not a fan of the F40. Kinda cool and all, but it just doesn't have the perfect since of portions of the 288 which I find to be pure car sex. Still, there are other F-cars that are stunning and worth adding one to the quiver. That opens up a whole new thread for debate...name the f-car you thing really captures Ferrari.

Man...forget the F40.....I found you something better.......

It's a TRANS 40 ROSSA

You garage will not be complete without it! You'd better hurry though.......a ride as choice as this won't last very long!

wouldn't you know...the one pic I took showing the louvered sides didn't come out....but hey, they were taken from a moving car!)

Dan.... this was posted on F-chat... one for sale

Ferrari F40 ZFFMAN34A0L0086438, the 39th USA F40 built by Ferrari SpA in July 1990.

Red with red seats. Original flawless paint with original unblemished standard seats (replaced by red OEM units for driving whilst the originals are preserved as shown below). Original steering wheel and shift knob also preserved and present. 6,200 miles. Tubi cats delete with Tubi Sports exhaust, original factory exhaust and cats are with the car.

$17,000 major engine-out service performed at local authorized Ferrari dealer about 200 miles and 2 seasons ago. All deferred maintenance brought up to date. Fresh Michelin Pilot Sports fitted. Scrupulously maintained & detailed, this F40 is garaged in a climate-controlled room as shown below. As indicated by the miles covered in the last 2 years, the car is rarely driven and the current owner desires that it goes to a home where it will be enjoyed more often.

The car's owner has today authorized me to clarify that this car can only be purchased in a private sale via myself, and any representations by other parties are not a means to purchase this car. I have personally known this car for several years, and have personally put hands & eyes on her in several careful inspections. The car is local to me, 10 minutes away. All images posted below were taken by myself at the owner's home, are strictly copyright to Joe Sackey Classics LLC, and are not to be used for any other purpose other than viewing to develop interest in the aforementioned vehicle.

This F40 is in my estimation the very best car available in the country for a very fair market price. All principal interested parties please contact me directly via e-mail below.

SACKEY KNOWS HIS F40s.

Do what you have to do to get this car!!!

It even has red tape on top of the steering wheel for Putnam trips. All set to go.

Joe Sackey Response:
But truly, and I am not exaggerating just for purposes of a sale as the truth always speaks for itself, pics do not do it justice. At this rate of interest it will be gone soon.

His decor is not quite up to Dan's standards. He does not even have an egg box.

I would hate to spill any oil on that driveway though.
