Bills cool, he had a Countach.....and needs to trade back up to one again!!!

What do mean trade UP? I'm telling ya, there is no love for the 308 here.

Don't forget the Brown Co run had a TR and a 328 on it, which was 2 more Ferraris than Lambos. Don't forget Tim's 360 came to Kings to start the season along with a 328. Dan must be kind of scared of them because he never shows up when the Ferraris come out, thus he assumes they don't drive. Tsk tsk tsk. There are several registered in the members page if Webby ever gets that working again.

Oh, and Dan, not a single Ferrari driver I saw this year had red matching socks and driving shoes, so you can let the stereotype go now.

I like the very first rendition of the logo best so far, but if the yellow generic car could look more like a 308 GTB it would be perfect!

No love for the 308? Let's see...

Engine's in the right spot, right number of seats... Sounds good to me

Was the font on the first one you liked better? Or was it the placement of the letters in the car?

And, Dan, the wing doesn't need to be bigger. This is for midwestscc, not indycarz...

Is there anything about this one that anyone likes? I like the font, but then, I've never been renowned for my sense of style.

Raza, I'm a designer and partner of a design and advertising firm and can offer the following insight.

One thing to keep in mind with a logo design is how it will work in all applications. Like embroidery on caps or shirts for instance, or in black and white if it were to come across a fax or on an entry form, etc.. As such, the beveled look of your font will not translate well in an embroidered application. Also the area where the blue text is overlapping the yellow of the car would not render well if the logo was in black and white. Crisp lines will reproduce much better than soft edges or "fades" to white. A general rule is to design the logo in black and white first, then once you've got the "look" established, add color.

Hope that helps.

Mark, make it like Dan's Lambo. put a bunch of colored spot under it to represent all his fluid leaks.

Well, if it was Dan's Lambo, there would be an outline of a gas-pump behind it, too.

Ok, so we have a professional in here. (Thank God). Doug has definately brought up valid points. BTW, doug, your avatar is awesome.

So, let's go back to formula for a minute and start with a good foundation:

Let's get some votes and decide on the best font. Keep in mind, any of these can be manipulated to lean in an angle or be stretched or shortened, but this should be a good general idea.

Please vote. This isn't like the Presidential Race, you opinions actually do matter, here.

#5 for me.

I think it should stand out, but be really clean at the same time.

Yes! This look is perfect for a black polo shirt or black cap. I love it. Thanks for all the great input from everyone.
Webby, you must be proud of all this! Look at what you started.

+1 to both!

I like Doug's font best. But I definitely like the idea of the text and the outlined car. Maybe black text with a red car for light shirts, and white text with a yellow car for dark shirts?

The Members List works, not the "Garage" which I'm working on.

Doug, is that a custom font? If so, could you email that to: markraza@yahoo.com?

Does anyone onther than Palmer have an opinion of the font? (Not that I don't hold Palmer's opinion in the highest regard)

Ild say use the Lamborghini font, I could find it if I must, but its great

look at Ricks breaks calipers for it, or even the "Lamborghini" emblem on the back of our cars

Doug's font +1

Doug's advice on doing B&W first. Get it right the B&W, then create a color version as step two. We are having some trouble with translating the Indy Z Car Club logo to embrodiary right now and we're backtracking. We didn't have Doug's advice when it was created the first time.

I like the logo with the Yellow sweepy car with the Ironing Board on back to make Dan happy.

You guys should see the work Doug has done for the Z club. He does great work.

ThunderZ is an artist from our club. He drives the 280Z with the Chevy V8 under the hood. He does some great drawings of cars and would be another strong talent to tap into for projects.

Raza, cool design on the car wrapping around the name.

I like Doug's font the best. It's bold and has a slight slant to it that looks like movement.

I like Andrew's idea on the different colors for white and black shirts.

I assume it's okay for a girl to post a vote
