once I'm done with school, I'd LOVE to own one as a dd again.
I had one of those, too. Wish it had a stick. (Note: they do not survive roll-over accidents well.)
Those that are lucky their whole lives usually die young...

The trident emblem on the grille of the Maserati doesn't do a very good job of knocking over trees that jump into your way either..

Wow William, we should trade horror stories. I "tree'd" a 81 TransAm. First time I heard the terms "Debris Field" and "scatter radius" used in describing an accident.

On the bright side, you didn't have to hear the term "body parts".
It was the middle of February, 10 degrees out and night time. I had pulled out of the drive way and down the hill. As I gained speed I noticed it didn't have the jettison feeling it normally had when the turbos kicked in. As I hit the bottom of the hill, going about 40, the back end went out as I popped the clutch. I was on black ice. We hit the tree hard and when I opened my eyes, I saw the hood of the car bent up and the background rotating behind the tree in slow motion. I can still see it.
Aside from a sore chests from the seat belts and a bloddy lip, no one was hurt. My presciption glasses had fallen but I found them in the pocket on my door as I got out. When I put them on I realized something was wrong with my eyes. I couldn't see clearly any more. As my buddy came around, he looked at me and said "Hey, you're wearing my glasses!".
The car was totaled, sold the carcass and went on vacation to a warm beach somewhere.
The end.

really? but it's unlikely I'll flip it. It's SLOW but cool
. A B9 TriBeCa H6 swap would be nice. and Jason, that thing does have pillars. You just can't see them from the outside.

for being a car that was designed in the late 80s, yes. structural rigidity was really high also.

Nice! I saw a cool white SVX with black roof a few days before the birthday run, looked really good. Thats one of those odd cars I've always wanted to own for a while.

Yeah, I've got a thing for older Volkswagens. Rabbits & Cabbys are just soooo much fun to drive once you swap the motor out for something with a bit more power. The Elise reminds me of my old Rabbits, right in between the black daily driver and the drag car. Crazy but true.

Countach. It was one of 19 1979 S1 Lowbody cars and had only 900 miles. Lowest known in the world. Perfect original everything.
59 Vette. Can fix eveything on it with a 9/16 wrench and a screwdriver. Also I've been working on it since I was 14 years old and drove it to the prom, so it's kinda like family.
Crew Cab Dually, to live in. Or maybe the diesel Chevette, since it might run on fermented coconut oil and I could make my own fuel. Or an MGB if there were deserted island girls because they would think it was cute.
I also forgot a vehicle from my list. So I fit in here, I too can claim a van! 88 Chevy Astro. Bought at the Columbus Adesa Auto Auction, drove to Morgantown and gave it to my Father-in Law. So for about 30 miles, I was rollin in style.
