Never thought of WD-40. It is more solvent than lubricant, so makes sense for small areas. Concern is there still is some lubricant to it and curious if that attracts and holds debris. That's got to be why you make sure you clean it off so well.

BTW...the pics are of a 25 year old engine bay of a car that actually gets driven. Over 115k miles to-date.
Looks great!
What is the best way to get black hoses etc looking deep black?

99% real. I edited out the mud by coloring it white so when I sent it to my family it looked a little more pretty than it actually is. The snow IS that deep around the car. suks. I am online right now cause I am taking a break from moving snow away to get it out.

I am so tired and my hands are shaky. Need some bourbon stat!

There are a couple of options. I'm still undecided.

You need wheels made from space age metals for super light strength and atomic fire protection. This guy in the pic has that already.

BTW -I called the phone number of the aliens that control him and surprisingly enough I was connected to HRE wheels - so maybe this is not such a good idea...

I think I fixed the triple post. How does that happen? I got a message every time saying the post would not go through.

I am jonesing to get some new wheels for my NSX since I am bored with the old ones (and a certain other X owner won't sell me theirs :x ).
I am close to buying some BBS rs wheels that weigh 17lbs each and are three piece. One of the rear wheels need to have the polished metal refinished but it is not damaged bad. The wheels I have now are 18s and weigh about 24 - 26lbs each. I will be saving almost 7 - 9lbs a wheel. Does anyone notice a difference by putting on lighter wheels?
I have never owned bbs so I am wondering if they are worth the extra $$$ vs other wheels that are fairly close in weight.
I must buy by Sunday night 3/9/08

Please help!

The title of this thread is "A Little Bit of Wood"!

I can only tell you that I was staying on topic imo.
I apologize to the op and everyone else that has to filter through the gutter brained comments.

BTW - there used to be a woodpecker that liked to land on my old Camry and look at himself in the side mirror. What kind of damage would a bird like that do to this car?

What is the best way to clean the metal in the engine bay w/out having to take pieces out and clean. I have heard sprays are dangerous to hoses because they can promote cracking inolder hoses. My engine shows at all times so I want metal pieces to look clean and the black hoses etc to look true black.
What do you guys do to clean the engine area to make it shine?
Polishers?
Power tools?
Solvents?
Degreasers?
Back to Black cleaner?
